StoryShare is a place to share your story and it’s also a place to read other people’s stories. Why is this important?

We all have a story to tell but often times we feel either embarrassed, ashamed or unworthy of our stories. Telling your story and claiming it can be very healing. How many times have you sat with yourself and had an internal dialogue going on in your head and reliving a part of your story? How often have you wanted to let your story out, to share it, and free it from the confines of your mind?

I came up with the idea of StoryShare after having coffee with a friend. She is one of those people who I feel totally comfortable sharing my most intimate stories. She does not judge and she would not betray my trust. After getting home from our coffee date I felt so free. It was super healing to just talk about the things I’m going through. I felt a sense of relief and clarity. What had been feeling heavy now felt light and possible. All this happened because I shared my story. I let it out.

I wanted this feeling to last and I wanted to find a way to share it with others. I thought,  I wanted to be a listener, to be an ear for someone’s story. To be the person who will sit in non judgment and just listen. This is what so many people need – to be heard with no fear of what they have to say.

Storyshare is this place. It is a place where you can share your story, anonymously or openly. It is a place to let it all out to release yourself from the stories that have been holding your back – those stories that you have been hiding from and afraid to share. Our past stories can weigh us down and hold us back, preventing us from stepping forward. Don’t let this be anymore. Open yourself up and let the words spill out.

Storyshare is also a place to read other people’s stories, to see we are not alone, and to find healing through shared experiences.
